So when I created One48 Paper I knew that sharing my only personal wedding and mental health jounrey needed to be a main part of what my business was about, it was there that The Anxious Bride blog series was born.
I’m hoping for big things from The Anxious Bride part of my business in 2020, as I’d love for it to grow into a hub for brides / brides to be / wedding suppliers to share their knowledge, experiences and advice.
I hope you’ll be there to share the One48 journey.
I'm Amy, a twenty-something designer with a passion for films, country music and an avid tea drinker.
I create from my home studio in Lancashire, UK, with my pupper Halle for company. She can often be found sleeping whilst I work, which seems slightly unfair, but she keeps my feet warm so I'll let her off!
One48 Paper started in the summer of 2018 after I created the stationery for my own wedding. It didn’t properly get going until I launched my Etsy shop at the end of Sept 2018 with a range of bridal cards. I took my first sale early Oct and within the first 4 months I’d celebrated over 500 sales.
Skip ahead another 6 months and my shop has grown to include Wedding Stationery from invites to table plans to Prints, Gifts and more!
As well as the paper goods side of my business I knew that I wanted to help brides manage the stress and overwhelm that comes with planning a wedding.
I’d been on a personal metal health journey since 2014, so taking on this big task was definitely going to pull on so many of my own anxieties and fears. I searched the internet looking for help and advice on planning a wedding when you were dealing with mental health problems too, but only seemed to find the same ‘how to relax and not stress’ type articles, which really didn’t help as it wasn’t just a few pre-wedding nerves that I was dealing with.
